My name is Robert Miller.

I'll be your announcer for tonight.

And I must say that I really enjoyed this and I find that

talking about the background behind some of this music is

as enjoyable as listening to the music itself.

I am never failed to be amazed at some of the accomplishments

of these composers during their time.

We're going to start off tonight with a favorite Oh Holy

Night in 1843 the priest.

Out of wrote mirror in southern France asked wine merchants

and poet plus seed shippo to write a poem Christmas point

to celebrate the renovation of the church organ. 

Jabo a native of the Town agreed and wrote the poem Midnight Christians.

He did this despite the fact that he was a professed

atheist.    interesting point.   later adult Adam set

The poem to music and the song premiered in wrote Muir in

1847.   In 1855 Unitarian Minister John Sullivan Dwight created

a singing Edition, which includes the English lyrics ... lyrics
